U4 Game Instructions

U4 game is 4 five minutes quarters with 2 minutes water break and 5 minutes half time. The first team of the day set up the goal and the last game take it down, return it to the trailer. The goals and pinnies are located at the GBYSL trailer.

Each team will do the kick off at the beginning of each quarter. Kick off can go in any direction, forward, backward, sideway. Team can score directly from the kick off. No throw in, kick in only. It’s highly recommended to sub every five minutes so all the players have equal playing time. Your ball size is 3. HEADERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

U4 play 4V4 (4 players on the field) no goalkeeper. Please do not place your player in front of the goal. Allow your players to participate in the game. The more they touch the ball, the better player they will become.

A coach from each team is allowed on the field with the players. Do not stand in front of the goal.

U8 game is 4 ten minutes halves with 2 minutes water break and 5 minutes half time. The first team of the day set up the goal and the last game take it down. The goals and pinnies are located at the GBYSL trailer.

The referee will do the coin toss to determine which team will do the first kick off (the team that wins the coin toss will choose ball or direction). Kick off can go in any direction, forward, backward and sideway. Team can score direct from the kick off. No throw in, kick in only. No PK, no card, no offside. If you have a cherry picker, meaning your forward is in front of the opponent’s goal behind the defender, the referee will call offside. Team cannot score from kick in. All fouls will be determined by FIFA law. Game re-start with IFK (Indirect Free Kick) after each foul. Both teams can sub during throw in, goal kick, injury and goal score. Substitute players must be at the midfield line before the dead ball and can only enter the field after the referee give the permission. It is highly recommended that you sub every five or ten minutes for all the players to have equal playing time. Your ball size is 3. HEADERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

The referee will do the coin toss to determine which team will do the first kick-off (the team that wins the coin toss will choose ball or direction). Kick-off can go in any direction, forward, backward and sideway. Team can score direct from the kick-off. No throw in, kick in only (cannot score directly from kick in). Penalty kick (PK) and offside law will apply. Card will be issued on fouls. All fouls will be determined by FIFA law. Both teams can sub during kick in, goal kick, injury and goal score. Substitute players must be at the midfield line before the dead ball and can only enter the field after the referee give the permission. It is highly recommended that you sub every twelve and a half minutes for all the players to have equal playing time. Your ball size is 4. HEADERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

The goals and pinnies are located inside the equipment box. For field #s 1 and 4, the equipment box is next to the gate by field 1 and for field #s 2 and 3 the equipment box is located next to the playground gate (close to field 5).

The referee will do the coin toss to determine which team will do the first kick off (the team that wins the coin toss will choose ball or direction). Kick off can go in any direction, forward, backward and sideway. Team can score directly from the kick-off. No throw in, kick in only (cannot score directly from kick in). Penalty kick (PK) and offside law will apply. Card will be issued on fouls. All fouls will be determined by FIFA law. Both teams can sub during kick in, goal kick, injury and goal score. U13 and U14 game are 2 thirty-five minutes halves and 5 minutes half time. Each first two teams set up the goal plus corner flags and the last two teams of each field take it down this includes weeknight games. The goals and pinnies are located inside the equipment box. For field #s 1 and 4, the equipment box is next to the gate by field 1 and for field #s 2 and 3 the equipment box is located next to the playground gate (close to field 5).

The referee will do the coin toss to determine which team will do the first kick off (the team that wins the coin toss will choose ball or direction).  Kick off can go in any direction, forward, backward and  sideway. Team can score direct from the kick off. PK and offside law will apply. Card will be issued on

fouls. You can’t score a goal from throw in. All fouls will be determined by FIFA law. Both teams can sub during throw in, goal kick, injury and goal score. Substitute players must be at the midfield line before the dead ball and can only enter the field after the referee give the permission. It is highly recommended that you sub every seventeen and a half minutes for all the players to have equal playing time. Your ball size is 5. HEADERS ARE ALLOWED.

U14 and U14 play11V11 (11 players on the field which includes the goalkeeper).
