Parental Waivers

Parents requesting their child to play up two years on a team, must complete a Parent Waiver form.

GBYSL Recreational League is a volunteer-based league. We offer two programs throughout the year, a Spring season beginning in March/April ending in June and a Fall season from August through October.  

The registration fee of $150 pays the field fees, player fees, uniform, pictures and a medal/award.  Field fees are paid to the cities of Reno and Sparks and Washoe County, while player fees are paid to US Club.  

Teams are formed based on zip code.  If there are no teams available at your zip code, you will be placed at the nearest zip code.

Parents can request a team placement. Players are allowed to play one age division higher.

U4 through U7 teams are co-ed and U8 and up are gender specific. Girls can play on a boy team.

Practices are determined by your Coach and the league makes the game schedule. Games are held every Saturday and some midweek nights for U8-U14.

Uniforms will be distributed by your coach. The league will order the size that you specified during registration. If you ordered the wrong size, you can place an order for the correct size but you will be responsible for the replacement cost and any shipping charges.  

Your player will need to wear a soccer shoe (cleats) and shin guard at every practice and game, these are available at any sports store or from the GBYSL Store.

Your team will be scheduled for team pictures, this could be either before or after a game. Please try to make it to your scheduled team picture as we don’t have any time allotted for individual pictures. Your child will receive a free individual and team photo. You can purchase other photos at your own expense.

Pictures and medals will be distributed to the coach or team representative only. We will make an announcement when these items are ready.

Head Coaches will receive a coach jersey and cones.
